What impact can artificial intelligence have on the fashion industry?
The goal of this project was to use the capabilities
of artificial intelligence (AI) to generate new sneaker silhouettes for the fictional brand „Artificix“.
To get the most realistic-looking results possible, the AI was fed with over 1200 images from the „StockX“
platform, which has a large selection of photos of sneakers shot from the same perspective. From that
dataset the AI generates new silhouettes. By adding „extraneous data“ i.e., images of watches, cars,
latches, irons, etc., the limits of this process were explored. The realism of the final results was
paramount.
